When Do UK Routes Operate?
Almost all UK–Dalaman flying is seasonal. Routes open around late March or April, build to daily or near-daily frequency in July and August, and wind down through October. From November to March there are effectively no direct flights from the UK.
If you need to reach the coast out of season, the practical route is via Istanbul: Turkish Airlines flies from several UK airports to Istanbul, connecting onward to Dalaman on a year-round domestic service. Allow at least 90 minutes for the connection.

Compare on total price including baggage. Jet2 and TUI generally include hold luggage in the fare and allow 10 kg cabin baggage; easyJet charges separately for anything larger than a small under-seat bag. For a family of three or four, the baggage cost often reverses the apparent fare difference.

Dalaman is a small, straightforward airport — passport control and baggage reclaim are rarely more than 30–40 minutes even in peak season, though it can be slower when several UK flights land together in the early afternoon.
If you are on a package holiday, your transfer will usually be included and a representative will meet you in the arrivals hall.
